  • Titan Laminator Blistering and bubbling across far side please Help

    I have a large format titan laminator and im running 160 wide pressure sensative laminate through it with i thin plastic release liner on bottom roller. Everything has been ok but now im getting bubbles and blisters on the far side of my laminations. Ive tried adjust the tension on both top and bottom rollers. I can get it to stop and im right in ghe middle of a print job.

    Please can anybody help

    Hi Dean

    This these kind of bubbles are normally caused by uneven roller pressure, the first port of call would be to carry out a paper test on the rollers.

    to do this break down the machine by taking out the laminate and media out of the rollers.
    cut a a4 piece of paper into 6x 30mm strips lengthways, with the roller jaw apart place each strip evenly along the width of the roller and bring the rollers together. the laminator should ‘nip’ all 6 bits of paper (you should not be able to easily pull them out).

    If one side is tight and the side you are getting the bubbles is loose then we know that the roller lifters have come out of sync/line and require some adjustment.
