  • Tips on applying vinly to MDF panels

I have a customer building a cabinet from MDF and he wants a printed image on one panel. Would it be best to apply and wrap around the edges and then put together or to build then apply? Any recommendations as to how to treat the sawn edges where the vinyl won’t adhere?

    Many thanks

    Nick

    I seal my edges.
(I don’t do prints this is for regular signs)
Sand and fill any voids with a good wood putty, then sand again.
Apply two coats of Elmers TiteBond II wood glue, then a coat of KILZ primer then a coat of oil based enamel.
(might be difficult to find those products across the pond)

I would use diluted uni-bond to seal.
