Posted by Berkay on 26 October 2007 at 12:25

    Well,
I have written ont this forum 3 – 4 times about this print problem that i got, but for some reason my topic goes missing??? Wonder why??

    However,
Got Tiara Opal 63” machine, everything was working before got in transit. Took it to London, tried test print, no ink. Than replaced the dampers. Still blank. Than Replaced the head, done the things need to be done, still no ink. Blank prints on nozzle.

    Can anyone suggest something please?
By the way, mods or admins, whats going on?? Why my topics are deleted for??

perhaps you could use the correct forum when posting?
maybe make one post instead of multiples of the same post in various forums "all at one time"?
post bumping to get your topic to top of list?

as you have noticed, persistently ignoring board rules will result in the post/thread being removed.

    hope this explains things…

    Not at all
It does not spit any ink as what you said. New print heads, syringe is used to pull the from the dampers. also new dampers.

NO Error Messages. When i just do nozzle check normally i should have some cubed colours. But there is nothing. It just moves as normal, the print head goes left and than right. It prints NOTHING

    please help

    Hi
sounds like your pumps are either not working, or the heads are not sealing on the capping station. From memory if you take the right hand casing off you will see the drain tubes from the capping station. Clamp the drain hoses & fill capping stations with cleaning fluid & leave to soak. Then remove the clamps & separate from the joint & attach a syringe, try to suck ink through, if you can draw back the syringe easily then the heads are not sealing. If this is the case try pushing the head over harder whilst drawing on the syringe this sometimes helps.

You also said it had new heads, have you done any head work with the machine switched on as it is very easy to blow the fuses on the motherboard.

    hello all
kevin you have hit the nail on the head, you need to turn the power off, pull the power supplie and then power the machine on with no power to it, that then discarges any voltage on the main board,
on a good note the fuse are only about £6, but they need to be soldered in by some one who with a bit off saffey

    Well,

Got in touch with a company called AdYoung for an engineer. Problem with them is they cannot keep their promises because i have no contracts with them.

Is there are anyother engineers you can suggest?

    Hi
don’t know about ADYoung themselves as a good company, but if you do use them and get Adam come out to you he is a very knowledgeable engineer, helped me out of a jam many a time.

so was it the head fuses?

Kev, it was not the headfuses, nothing to do with headfuses. I even asked the manufacturers, they told me its the motherboard fuse too. All it was, ink was dried on two dispensers (pump). Because the machine has two ink heads, the place where it pulls the ink from heads were blocked by dried solvent and turned SOLID!. (The place that i m talking about is the capping station). So, what he done was; he added pure solvent to those two pads on the capping station, and than let it go. It worked fine.

And, when i got in touch with some companies, in order to weld one fuse for motherboard, they are asking £600 – £700. My partner was here with the engineer, and he asked him, he must have said he will no way do it for £600, will do it more cheaper.

the pump problem is a common one, if you had done has i had mentioned above with solvent & then the syringe you could have done the job yourself. If you end up continually having to clean the system because of clogging have a new capping station fitted its not expensive & saves a load of grief.

    Glad to see alls ok
