In 2009 The Window Film Company were asked to print and install full colour graphics at the headquarters of the world famous charity, the RNIB. Now, six years later, an updated set of graphics were required and The Window Film Company have swung into action once more. The main crux of the brief was twofold. Firstly, the graphics should be in full colour, providing a bright, vivid display and secondly, the view from the inside out must be maintained. With these factors taken into account, it was clear that Contra Vision film would be the appropriate choice.

The perforated variant of the film was the ideal solution, allowing for the vivid reproduction of graphics on one side, with the perforated, untreated reverse side providing the necessary vision to the exterior. The installation included applying the film to windows that incorporated display units, requiring careful preparation and cutting to make sure the displays weren’t obscured by the film. The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print team provided proofs and printed samples for approval, before printing the supplied graphics on the Company’s UV printer.

The existing film, still in good condition after six years in situ, was removed by one of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified installation teams, with the freshly created film applied immediately after. The film was affixed to the external face of the glass, the durable nature of Contra Vision film making it suitable for outside use. Once complete the building looked completely transformed, the bright colours chosen serving to provide a n eye-catching display, providing a professional yet engaging look, raising awareness of the RNIB’s presence in the area, enhancing the brand and improving the overall appearance of the building. Despite a big change to the exterior of the premises, the use of Contra Vision film made certain the view for those inside remained uninterrupted.
