    Hello everyone,

I found this forum in search for a vendor of some materials I need. Seems like a nice place to discuss the sign business and I am sure I will find a lot of info here.

I work with Oracal 751 for most of my signs and lettering. However, some customers demand a cheaper vinyl, especially for indoor use and I understood Oracal 641 is a good choice for that. So I have two questions:

    1. Is Oracal 641 a good choice for short term indoor signs?
    2. I work with thevinylcorporation and they do not have this particular material. Can you recommend another company that sells it?

    Thanks!

Paperlinx, they have depots all over the UK.

    I use oracal 751 daily…
551 or lower again, 651 for interior signage. i doubt ide use anything lower spec than 651. at the end of the day, we are talking pennies of a saving.

    Thanks Robert!

Is there a place I can see all their prices or I have to write them for quote? I will surely consider 651 but I want to compare prices for all these vinyls. I also want to see some other products they offer as I think buying all from one place would be easier.

    Regards,

    David

    Alan,

I went through the Antalis website but the prices are… outrageous! Do you get any deals when you call then, like 50% off? 🙂

Uhm, you are correct, they gave me totally different prices. Still they are higher than thevinylcorp.. But why is that, what is the point to set such high prices on the website and then lower them with 60%… how they get customers this way.. If I didn’t know this I would have never called…

Because thats the RETAIL price, not the trade price,
I only wish MDP Supplies would do something similar, they charge everyone the same, no margin for trade guys!!

    Hey guys,

I wanted to give you an update on this.

After a lot of consideration I gave Antalis a second call and they provided some further discount. I contracted them for my day to day needs and I must say I am quite happy.

I also found an international supplier – SignGround. They are quite cheaper from what I have seen but the shipping is 3-5 days. I ordered orajet 3551 an received it in 4 days. I guess I can order the materials I do not need immediately from there, seems a good option.

Thanks all for the recommendations, I hope everything will be ok with those suppliers.

    David
