Summ D750 Pro with Opus upgrade
Hi Peoples,
Not quite sure what to do about this one. I have been using this since we bought our new mimaki and we got rid of the the print and cut machines. This is a great plotter and cuts perfectly
We are glad we upgraded the printer because the quality output is awesome and I’m able to secure better paying contracts with bigger clients and also trade print sales are less of a worry….
BUT…… The downside was that we had to get a plotter to still be able to cut the thousands of cut vinyl decals we do every month.
On the face of it a great move, but it’s a pain in the posterior setting up the artwork files for print and cut. On the old system, one image with a cut path straight into the rip, and the result 1000 print and cut copies.
With this,… ah well I’m sure you know my pain…
So we gotta get oursleves another print and cut machine to cut down on production time. I’m looking for either a 30 inch or 54 inch P&C..
I would consider an exchange of some kind if anyone has a printer. Or I have the chance of one locally and want to sell the plotter. However, I’m not really sure on the price for the summa. I know what I paid for it 6 months ago without the eye working (£650) and now its all been cleaned, calibrated and the eye is working pucker… It’s really sensitive to dust tho, so it needs to be regularly blown out with an air can and I keep a static cloth on hand to make sure that no fluff etc goes through the machine on the media when i load sheets.
On the plus side, this will cut meters and meters without going off track. Ive just put a 50 meter roll of print in to it with about 45 decals sheets printed on it and I can cut each one without having to take it out and re position it.
Any ideas anyone?
Is anyone interested in a px of some form?
