the actual program uses a couple of gb’s but the rip files can take up lots of space.
some print files can be very big when ripped, so you do need a large hdd.
they are cheap enough nowadays, just wondered why you are worried about using 40gb?
I’ve 2 (fysic) hdd’s :
(C-drive) = SSD Intel 80 Gb : for system and programs – free space : 30 Gb
(D-drive) = WD Caviar Black 640 Gb : for documents – free space : 540 Gb
That’s why I think I’ve not enough place for Signlab 8 Print & Cut.
Is it possible to install SL8 on the (D-drive), so that it can use this one for the rip files ?
you should be able to install signlab on the d drive, I am not a computer expert, so check with cadlink first. You can archive the ripped files to another location after they have been printed. to save space
