    Hi all,

I have just bought a mug press to add to the sublimation side of my business and to be honest i am struggling a bit, every time i print a mug i end up with loads of little black spots all around the printed text so if i have a line of blue text for example i end up with my blue text which is fine but loads of tiny black spots all around the blue text, i am using xpres sublimation paper and mugs and i have the d88 sublimation setup from xpres too. Any help / suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Best advice would be to speak with Xpres tech. support, they are first class. You can speak to them through MSN at technical@xpres.co.uk.

    Cheers,

Does the black look ok on the paper or not?

    Hi Ya

    1. Are you printing in standard mode & not Photo mode.

    2. when was the last time you did a head clean.

    3. has it done this from the word go.

Again as JNMann said best if all goes out the window is to speak to xpres a very helpful bunch.

Sounds like you are getting a fine mist of black on the paper that may not be noticed until its too late (on the mug). Check your print with a magnifying glass and look for the black spots on the paper.

As said before, check your basic settings and do a head clean.
