  • Subbing out sign manufacturing to foreign country?

    Bit of unusual one.

We have a large enquiry from Canada that needs us to supply signage but the shipping costs will be prohibitive.
Has anyone had experience of subbing out to an overseas signmaker?

We are thinking of making the signs in Canada and then forwarding the small extras ourselves.

What I’m concerned about is what if the Canadian sign company contact our customer direct and undercut us?

    Anyone got any advice?

    Many thanks

    Greg

    Hi
unless you are making something very bespoke i would be very cautious as you say shipping costs are prohibitive so why are they sourcing overseas especially if you can easily find a sign maker to make them in Canada
