Hello customer wants me to supply something like this and has specified galvanized steel as the cages hold potentially hazardous stuff and so we don’t want the sign being vandalized and laving anyone able to claim they didnt know there was any danger from the material in the cage.

Does he really want galvanized steal or should I be taking him into something else?

Personally if something hits it with enough force to damage the panel it’s going to have damaged the print.

Acrylic is brittle.. but maybe it would with stand more deep scratches. So if this is a big deal I would personally say to the customer what I have said above and offer either a 3mm or 5mm Perspex with the print mounted in reverse or a skybond panel, with the print and a 1mm or slightly thicker Perspex to stop it getting scored/scratched deeply. Or maybe a motocross laminate would do, but never used it before. And a price for a skybond panel. Then it’s in there hands, you’ve laid out all the pros and cons

No matter the sign material, the print will be destroyed regardless.

as has been said, clear polycarbonate plastic over the face to then protect the print.
