Hi guys, im going to be picking up my first vinyl printer (currently buy in all my printed stuff!) so im a tad excited and want to get everything i need in stock before i go and collect it so i can start learning how to use it straight away and get it paying for its self.

i want to start printing canvases but upon looking for stretcher bars it seems there are 2 kinds 18mm and 38mm which should i get? what are the differences? also going to look at getting some clamps – are they useful?

    TIA

    Adam

hi Adam, i use the 38mm bars as i feel they give the frame more depth, and also look a lot better IMO, i wish you well with your new printer

thanks for the reply, I will get some 38mm bars then.

Thanks – really looking forward to having it. one more question, i have had enquiries for paper stickers rather than vinyl, can this be done with a solvent printer/cutter?

38mm ones look better than 18mm, never used clamps just use canvas pliers to apply tension then use the wedges to stretch frames makes them like a drum.
