Stock image suppliers?
Posted by Andy Gorman on 17 July 2006 at 22:27I’m looking for a supplier of stock photography, specifically industrial images. Forklifts, welders, that sort of thing.
Any recommendations?

There are(as you know) many stock photo supplies.
You need to be very specific to find the image that your client needs/wants. Especially in the industrial/engineering sector.
Quite often it is easier to scan an image from the relevant manufacturers brochure.?Peter

Nah, this is a recruitment agency. He wants some pictures of, for example, a bloke driving a forklift wearing all the proper safety wear. Similarly, someone operating some kind of machine, again wearing correct PPEs.
Know what I mean?
I’ve scanned through a couple of websites, but the images are not very professional. I just wondered if anyone knew of a ‘proper’ image supplier who supplied high quality, almost staged pictures.

Andy, I know what you mean. But last year I spent at least £500, on discs wth pro images, from memory, only one has been used (freebie for me bro) Like I said your criteria is very specific, so good luck if anyone can post a source.

Andy, I got approached by these guys in the states to put their link on my site. They are very good in general, and do all sorts of styles…
If you search for forklifts for example, they have a lot of different choices. Worth a look?
