I cant’ help you on solving your problem but I have just printed some of the metamark self cling and haven’t had any problems at all.Just used a monomeric vinyl profile.
Cheers

Yeah thats rubbish by the looks of things Dan!!
If you want to post the original file I’ll do a test print on the molko penstick and you can see the difference.
Europoint sell it over here.

Not that I can give any help, but I printed 600 a3 self cling the other week, print was fantastic the only prob I had was contour cur ran off on a long print. I guess the self cling moved on liner, can you try another material?
printed in versa works with md3 profile on high speed head speed 1000

Hi guys,
dont worry about printing it! I phoned roland got a profile for metamark cling and its was still awful, so I came to the conclusion it was the cling, cleaned the surface with alcohol (the evaporating kind, not the good stuff!!) and it has printed perfectly!! Ahhh frustrating but at least were working!! Thanks so much for you time!!Dan

Thanks for sharing the solution…may well save others grief in the future and one to store in the memory bank.

no probs! rubbing alcohol works with vinyl, banner etc as well, but always test a little bit first!! We use it as a cleaning fluid for most things because you can buy 25L drums for about 5 pounds, and it is much cheaper than any fluid I have seen anywhere that does the same thing!! And it evaporates leaving no gunk!!
Dan
P.s. can also be used for fondues if your hungry and working late!! 😀
