Hi there, I am following one of Rob’s Stained glass tutorials and I had found the lead in my local DIY Store a while back but when I went to purchase it this morning they reckon it has been discontinued and impossible to get hold of.

Does anybody know where I can purchase the 50m Roll of 3.5mm lead for £5.50 that Rob mentions he uses?

I have to do a Yorkshire Rose for a local window company onto two windows and there is the chance of much more work so I am looking for a supplier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think Rob actually recommends a better supplier than the DIY stuff, although I find the DIY shop stuff works OK.

Anyway, I have got it from Homebase and B&Q in the past, so maybe you should have a scout around a few places. Double glazing companies use it (albeit better quality) so it must be available somewhere.

That wasn’t very helpful really, was it? 🙄
