• Squealing cutter

Ok, so it is only a P Cut 630 but it works perfectly and does most I ask it to do, but recently there has been a squealing noise coming from the blade/ blade holder when cutting in one direction (placing a finger lightly on the holder sometimes stops the noise) cutting in all other directions it is ok.
I have turned the holder around in it’s clamp which helped a little for a short period.
As I have said it cuts perfectly, doesn’t even leave a mark on the backing paper so the blade depth seems about right, I keep it set at the minimum pressure to do the job (although changing the pressure did not help)

    Any Ideas ?

As this unit has already paid for it’s self several times over in the 6 months I have had it i keep thinking I should upgrade, but what to ?

Could it be the base of the blade holder is rubbing against the vinyl causing it to squeal. Try increasing the blade height to see if that eliminates the noise 😀
