Hello all – looking for some advice.

We are currently thinking about bringing spray-painting of letters from our router in-house, having used a couple of local car spray companies for this part of our service.

We have our own ideas of what to do but wondered if any of you guys that currently carry out this task could give some independent advice. We are also thinking of having a heated room off the main spray room for drying out the sprayed letters in dust-free conditions, but wonder if this is necessary.

I understand that current legislation (in Ireland ) means explosion proof light fittings and extraction fans etc. but what else would be required or prefered to get a very high quality finish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Martin

    hi martin,
under legislation, all paint systems here in ireland are now being changed to water based paint systems, this applies to bodyshops, gargares and so on…
in order to meet the requirements you could end up spending quite a bit,
spray room, paint system, extraction unit etc all your gear…

and then you need someone who can actually use it properly 😉

could be easier to work out a rate with your current painter??
