we were broke into a few weeks ago and the pc and dongle for that program were stolen i cannot get a repacment dongle as they say i have to buy a new copy of the easy sign program so i cannot use the machine to plot, only print
i use adobe illistrator 10 and corel draw 12 can any one tell me if i can cut with these programs or better still print and cut as i cannot afford the £1500 they want for a new copy of easysign

    Terry,
Sorry to hear about your break-in,
(SCUM OF THE EARTH TOW RAGS)
it may sound like an obvious question? but you should be able to claim on your insurance for the dongle. Insurance companies should treat it as hardware, rather than software,

Sorry cant help with the other questions.

does that also mean you have lost your RIP that came with the Verscam as well? if not put a hairline around the cut object and colour/name it the same the one set in the RIP.

the machine is from victory design and slightly modified by them to use there inks
the only thing we have is the roland drivers as the supplied the easysign software to run it all

Sorry to hear your bad news.

I would try contacting your hardware vendors and asking them for your copy of Versaworks which probably should have been supplied with the machine when bought new.

    Good luck 😀

Sorry about your break in. It p ees me off when these software companies want full price for a replacement from a legitimate customer, no wonder piracy is rife. I can understand a nominal fee for a replacement dongle but that is rediculous. They ought to put there efforts into prosecuting eBay pirates, not penalising genuine customers. It makes you want to get a pirate copy (:)

Yes you can cut from the Roland driver, in the properties section you click the middle tab marked printer control and in there you select the colour to be the cut line, this has to be a unique colour though so be careful.

You can also control the cut speed, pressure etc from there.
