    well looked like all ink had run out with all numbers flashing. I know one was low and might have started a maintenance clean and wanted me to replace a cartridge.

    Thought I had blown a fuse to protect something as it would not switch on. Simple thing was to unplug for a few minutes then away it went. Still not sussed what started it as not changed any ink

    I’m going to be a bit vague here but I believe there is a particular model/range of Roland printers that show symptoms of all colours being empty when just the black develops a fault. I’m not sure why that would cause it to not power up though. Sorry I can’t be any more specific.

    Yes stafford you are correct and that has been mentioned in another post, that if all the carts flash empty removing the black cart cleaning the contact and replacing normally clears the error – but as you said when it happened to me there was no associated power issue.
