  • SP-300 cleaning ink lines?

Posted by Ron Waite on 29 March 2011 at 21:27

    Hello everybody,
Have a SP-300, can anyone help me on cleaning out the lines to the heads.
All of a sudden both heads had a big banding problem. Ordered two caps but they said also to try to clean lines going to the heads. The printer sat a few weeks not plugged in, it printed the first couple of prints. I did a thorough cleaning, still only getting a few blocks to show up on test prints.
    Thank you
    Ron Waite 😥

    hi Ron,

if you order 2 cleaning cartridges you can do a head wash that might help.

make sure to use cleaning solution that matches up to your ink.

    Thanks for reply Mark,
I replaced the caps and the printer is working great again. No need to flush lines. The caps were probably five years old, support said to change 12-18 months, I guess I got my moneys worth.

-replace dampers from 6 to 6 months
    -replace cap-tops from 12 to 12 months
    -replace scan motor 1500 hours
-replace print heads at 6 billions K shot/nozzle
    -replace sponge every 12 months
-replace wipers / scraper every 6-12 months

How many of that have you done?? 🙂
I don’t know any Roland user to do that. But doing that you might "cause" your printer a "longer life" and "better living". 🙂

    All the best!
