I’ve printed on Oracle 3551 white and clear for several years now without any problems however Robert Horne no longer stock the 760 width clear so I need to find a replacement.

All Print Supplies have an LG product which will fit the bill, slighty cheaper and similar spec, but I’ve been offfered a Poli Print option by Amari and at nearly 60% less and I’m tempted, but I’ve not even heard of the stuff before.

Has anyone had experience of Poli Print 1001?

    Steve
not fitted it but people who took over my business use it printed with out fuss using the Oracal 3164 profile (it was gloss white not clear) but shouldn’t be an issue

    Hope this helps

Thanks Kevin, having not heard of the material made me wonder if it was just too cheap to be true. Perhaps I’ll give it a try.

Can you not get it in 1600mm and get it cut down?

John, yes I can get a 1520 slit but as it takes nearly a year for me to use a roll I’d rather not have a second roll standing for that length of time, shelf life I think is 2 years.

Colin, I already have an account with both Amari and All Print so I tried them first.

    Thanks, Steve

Metamark do 760 wide clear, in 3 and 5 year vinyl, and you can get it in 25m rolls as
well if you don’t use a lot.

Can you not get a sample from Amari big enough for you to try it out Steve, at that kind of price difference got to be worth asking them.

Thanks Jamie and Martin, I’ll look into the Metamark option, I’m completely unfamiliar with their range but the 25m might be sensible.
I’m going to get a sample from Amari, assuming that the material prints satisfactorily cutting is of course another aspect which I have to take into consideration.
