the general advice seems to be allow a solvent print 24 hours to gas off
before laminating . does the print being left on the takeup spool affect this
    time?

    any advice please

I prefer to hang mine up – pegged on a line in the workshop or laid flat on the bench for a minimum of 24 hours. More ink, more time. I should think 36 hours is more than enough

losen the roll up a bit and leave for at least 24hrs before laminating
as said before if the ink coverage is heavy I would leave a bit longer.
