Software installation, advice needed please?
Howdy
I am purchasing a s/h HP latex printer which will arrive next week.
In preparation I have also bought and installed flexi SAi design and print and am trying to set up production manager by adding the cutter and printer details but have fallen at first step.
I cannot find out to which port my GCC plotter is connected in order to add it, how can you do this please? …. I have just stuffed the plottercable into a random USB port on my PC but the options in Flexi production manager are confusing to me e.g they give 4 different USB GCC ports as in the image

If you go to Windows Device Manager you should see the Port your plotter is connected to, use this port in Flexi

I called them in order to buy Greatcut cutting software which I know runs my GCC plotter and in passing mentioned that I had Flexi that I couldn’t get working… the tech guy auto logged into my computer and set up Flexi communications in a few mins at no cost and of course no need to buy Greatcut from them.
They lost a sale on that occasion but I will certainly look to Grafityp site next time I am in market for some hardware which likely will be soon.
