  • Software for adding colour, what do you use?

    Hi everyone,

I use gerber omega for designing signs and then export the designs out of omega as an ai file and im port into coreldraw for adding colour so as to show the customer the proof. This however takes ages as you need to go round each line of text, outlines etc and combine everything. I was just wondering what software you all use as there is bound to be a quicker option than that im using.

I assume you are using the cut only version of Omega, why not design in Coreldraw so that you can show your customers colour proofs and then import into Omega for plotting.

Have you tried the search and replace eatures in Corel, also look to http://www.oberonplace.com and the limit colours vba, this used with the Pantone pallet in Draw can convert cmyk colour in a vector drawing to Pantone equivalents.
