smart car chevrons
Posted by Chris Windebank on 26 March 2010 at 13:52Brought a battenberg and chevron kit from Bluelite graphics all in diamond grade. Have to say simple to fit and very effective.
Ftitted graphics after these pics and yes, I know there is a bit missing in the photoHugh Potter replied 15 years, 7 months ago 5 Members · 7 Replies -

Chris how did you determine the angle of the stripes?
Did you have to heat to the curves or was it easy to apply

this is a kit, it comes ready made so the rear is in 6 or 8 parts just apply. Diamond grade does not like curves that is why the kits are designed like this.

just curious Chris,
is red allowed on the sides of vehicles in an ’emergency vehicle style’ pattern? i thought it was a no no, only allowed as part of a design / lettering.
looks good though, what are their prices like? did you ask around a bit first?
cheers,

whole lot around the 250 mark plus the dreaded
Know what you mean about the red but most got covered by graphics so fingers crossed. Client knew there might be a potential problem. One thing for sure, I ain’t taking it off

Hi
Hugh you are right I have just had to remove all the red from a van done by someone else. The customer brought me in all the rules and regs I have just look and it states that the chevrons should only go around the rear quarter to the side by 300mm, only yellow can be on the sides.

mikemakes you wonder how all the utility service vans get away with 3-400mm high red diagonal stripes down the sides of their big vans!
