Posted by Marcella Ross on September 20, 2007 at 7:38 pm

I’m looking for a small bit of anti stone chip vinyl, Armourfend kinda stuff. But I only need a very small bit for my own car.
(Putting dogs in and out of the back is going to hammer the back bumper area 😕 )
    I’m only needing about 1200mm x 150mm
And since it’s just for me ……….. the cheaper the better. :lol1:

anyone recommend anything and the supplier? Having not bought this type of stuff before I don’t know if there is a minimum order.

    thank you 😉

sorry I should read the post

    Peter 😳

I will now go and see how long my bit is…

    Sorry Marcella,
its not as long as I imagined! speak to Hexis, they may well send you a sample, it comes in 2 thickness’s which is often more important than the length 😉

    Marcie,

If it will do the job, I’ve got some of that black 3M non-slip flooring stuff.

I think mine is long enough. 😉

    Plenty have. *rofl*

At least the doggies won’t slip or scrabble about trying to get in the car. Might be just the job, but anyway there’s nothing to lose by trying it.

I’ll send a piece off tomorrow.

    It’s a self adhesive non-slip flooring material.

We put it on the steps inside the doors of vans, so that the drivers don’t fall when getting in and out, for some of our clients with more extreme Health and Safety officers.

I believe it also gets used in industrial situations where there is a high risk of slipping, like around machines etc. Bloody expensive for covering that sort of area though.

This thread is getting rather risque.

Hexis do sell it by the meter and it’s 1220 wide, they have three thickness’s now, seem to remember its around £7/m for 0.1mm thick, £24/m (0.2mm) and £32/m (0.3mm)

Ok I’ve read this a few times and can’t find anything suggestive so I’ll send it

Sorry to be sensible guys, but don’t Halfords sell the Venture shield stuff now? Don’t know if it comes in pre-cut kits or just lengths though.

    Anyways…carry on 😉

I’ve just caught up with this thread again …………… what the hell were you lot on on Friday? 😮 :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
    Nigel – I’m shocked! :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

Lynn it’s the same car I’ve had for the last 3 years, but now I’m throwing the dogs in it whereas they were always only allowed in the van! But since I’m out with them twice a day everyday, John is out in the van so the car it is.
Just don’t want the back bumper scratched…….. cos my car is still clean. No scrapes or anything. 😳
