sleeping pods full image, polymeric or cast
Hi everyone.
Looking for your opinions, im quoting tp put full images on the side of these sleeping pods. Ive seen the pods up close and they have a rounded return on then 20-30mm.
Now to be on the safe side i would probably price this with 2d cast print and lam but im aware that if i over spec it i will price myself out.
So a good polymeric will hopefully do the job, it will need some light heating, not stretching as such but smoothing out the crinkles.What material would you use for the job?

Personal I would consider MDX as cheap but fast to install. I believe it’s some sort of hybrid cast that’s not actually a cast but will cope with that.

Looking at the pictures they do look like they do have a 3d curve, if this is the case I would recommend a true cast film. Many suppliers supply smaller roll length kits to make them affordable. MDX is cheaper however it’s a conformable polymeric and has its limitations. Also if the pods are made from a low energy plastic, this is renown to have adhesive key issues, some wrapping cast manufacturers have a hi tack version to get around that problem.

Thanks for the feedback chaps. Went to see the client and pods in person today. I told them what i had offered in my price (polymeric) and that if quality was more important than price then the extra €’s would be worth it for cast. They agreed.

Completed the job. 6 pods in total. Bit of a challenge without the use of magnets but i managed

Thanks martin, i used image perfect 2578pa 2d cast.
They have them worldwide in the airports but are now moving into new areas, spa hotels and even football clubs
