    Hi All,
what vinyl would you recommend for a single colour wrap? i was thinking avery 900? Is there any vinyls out there that might be more suitable? we have always done printed wraps with grafiwrap, never single colour? Any advice appreciated!

    cheers

    Hi

When we colour change to white we often just use Metamark MD5, works fine and is a brighter white than some others brands. Bumpers tend to have to be in 2 prices but other than we can work it round everything else with ease. I know its not intended for this purpose but is an economical media to use.

I’ll post some piccies in the portfolio

    Cheers

I’ve used Avery 900 to wrap a BMW (attached) was OK, can’t really comment too much as it was my first ever wrap after the training course so obviously I was going to struggle a little with any vinyl I used, this was supplied by the customer so had no choice but to use it but was fine to use and lasted well and got great comments from it.

MD5 I was told can be used for a temporary wrap, might make it easier if it was laminated as well but then it’s a cost factor too.

    Cheers

The thing with Avery is that the max width is 1220mm (IIRC) so you can’t do bonnets in one piece.

    3M Scotchcal 85 series.

You’ll have no probs with Avery 900. As for the width of the bonnet I’ve yet to wrap a bonnet widder than 1220, even my range rover was done in one, just needed a bit of stretching to fit!

Obviously there are many, many wrapping vinyls but for cost, avery 900 is more than up to the job. John Childs, bless him, swore by it.
