Silver Doming Fluid – can it be sourced?

Can’t you just dome onto silver vinyl?

Thanks, that’s my zero option but won’t give me the exact effect that I’m after. I believe the originals that I’m trying to replace were sprayed silver over the doming compound but that’s obviously a faff and has the issue of the paint being rubbed off.

Wonder what would happen if you sprayed them whilst still wet…probably too much ‘force’ from the spray, but could just settle into the surface maybe

are the originals quite hard to the touch (poylester or casting epoxy resin) unlike the slightly soft feel of doming.

speak to the main doming suppliers manufactures acuflow.. liquid lens,, think i have seen a tint available some time ago

you can get lots of colour pigments for polyester resin and will give you the finish i think you want, the resin may have similar characteristics to doming but will not stick to a gloss vinyl. you super glue it back on after.
