I am thinking about upgrading from 6 to 7.
Is it worth it, for print and cut?
and what if any are the advantages?

Hi – Just upgraded from 6 to 7 and find it much more stable (not to mention usable). Although I used it yesterday on a large amount of text, (the dreaded chinese menu), and found it to be very slow and cumbersome – reverted back to signlab 5 and sailed through it (I very rarily use e6 it makes me angry). However over all I would say that if you are using e6 already then an upgrade would not be a bad idea.

Benefits: fewer bugs, for vinyl work it’s much the same, Print and Cut – it’s much improved.
Groans: Choosing the right colour from the palette is a chore (as is colour matching).

I think Signlab is a dog for large amounts of text too – always use Corel because it is so much better for this and the resultant drawing is so easy to put into Signlab for cutting.
