Sign writing company continues to grow thanks to support
Graphic design and sign writing company Art Graphics/Sonic Signs is looking to recruit new staff following support from Business Wales. The busy business based on the Deeside Enterprise Zone is looking to take on a designer and fitter early next year to boost its seven-strong team, having grown in recent years thanks to assistance from the Welsh Government’s free business support service. The company specialises in designing, printing and supplying large print works such as roller banners, vehicle vinyls, window and floor graphics and interior signage.
Clients include the University of Chester, Brio Leisure and lawn treatment firm GreenThumb. Art Graphics/Sonic Signs also recently completing a large contract with Wirral University Teaching Hospital. Art Graphics/Sonic Signs relocated from Saltney near Chester to the Deeside Industrial Park in 2015 following the merger of the two companies. Business Wales assisted with the move, and also helped the firm to implement marketing plans. Business Wales has since helped the company to recruit staff via Jobs Growth Wales, and also supported an application for the Welsh Government’s business rates relief scheme, which will fund new machinery.
Jake Gardner, director of Art Graphics/Sonic Signs, said: “The support from Business Wales has been fantastic. We’ve developed an excellent relationship with our adviser, who is always at the end of the phone helping with whatever queries we have. “The business rates refund we are due to receive will fund a specialist cutting machine, which is the only aspect of the business we currently have to out source. Bringing it in house will save us even more money in the long-run, further helping the business grow.” Business Wales is the Welsh Government’s business support service. Its services are all free and delivered bilingually from offices in Bangor, St Asaph, Holywell and Wrexham.
