Sign UK 2016 – Who’s going?
Afternoon all!
Anyone (silly question) venturing to Brum for Sign UK this year?
Me and a few of my lads will be venturing up for the 1st day.
Our usual tradition involves working on the Monday – driving up Monday afternoon ready for a night in the City on the ale and then walking around the show on the Tuesday with a sore head making an ill informed purchase or two! :lol1: -

I’ll definitely be going. Usually go for day one and two. Traveled back and two after each day last year, but think I’ll stay over in between this year and enjoy a couple of ales!
I know absolutely no-one whilst there (I go on my own), so if anyone fancies meeting up then I’ll happily get the beers in!

I’ll hopefully be going.
Got a new printer and I want to speak to some supplies and what better way to speak to them when they’re under one roof, plus I get to look at other goodies I can dream of buying.

I will be there the usual Tues/Wed/Thursday.
Will meet up with John Thomson and others over the 3 days.
Best time for a meet has historically been day two around 2pm at Wetherspoons :lol1:
Would be good to meet up with anyone of the other days that can’t make it on second day.I guess safe bet is Wetherspoons because nobody minds waiting on others, just as long as they have pint in their hand! 😉 :lol1:

Is it worth getting a set date and time in the diary for the most important aspect of the show…..The watering hole, Refreshments, Cold ones, Couple of Britney Spears….whatever you want to call it.
Rob how does Tuesday from 12.00 midday sound?

I’m trying to get a couple of local signmaking friends to come with me and share costs – will give me more inclination to not brush it aside for a busy day then too!

I believe Robert has swapped the Lemonade in his vodka to fresh tap water so I believe he should be fine and dandy as this is his new cure to staying hydrated….

I’m booked in at the IBIS Birmingham Centre New Street for the Wednesday night.

I am undecided where I am staying. at the moment it will be Hotel LaTour just along from Broad Street, that’s where i stayed last year. I will be at the show for the 3 days…

after the drive for printwear and promo, i decided to book return flight for the wednesday, 8 am out of glasgow, 8pm out of Birmingham.
now to persaude the good lady to collect me from airport :d

planning to go on Wednesday, bringing new boy with me for a day out. He’s been with us now for 18 months and we were too busy last year to go, so fingers crossed might catch up after 2.00 in weather spoons

Trying to go and have pencilled in weds or thurs but why is it you always get a rush job when you have planned work so you can be out! Better stay away from you bad boys and girls though – my drinking days are long gone, along with my hair! 😛

At the moment I may be down Tuesday taking a customer/friend with me, after he took me down to the print & promo show.
In the likely chance he changes his mind, it’ll be Wednesday.
