Hi Steve,
I buy Signcraft, a US publication which is pretty good. It doesn’t feature much in the way of vinyl work but has some good ideas though as well as some good inspiration. The mag usually pays for itself within the first fifteen minutes with a trick or tip on computers, filing, photoshop or the like. It’s available here for $15.00 and comes out bi-monthly. I’ve no idea how to get hold of any others. This is the only one that my supplier stocks.

yep, signcrafts a good start mate.. handovers sell it..
the only uk one ide advise is sign-update. its not the best sign mag on the go as far as tips etc is concerned but certainly the best of the bunch of uk ones 😉 -
I get SignCraft, SignBusiness, Autographics also from the same stable as SignBusiness http://www.nbm.com, AMAL the Letterheads quarterley publication is very good for pictorial references.
Bob Bond does Autoart if your in to pinstriping and vehicle graphics, Signs Of the Times another US trade journal full of electronic, digital this and that, state of the industry, I used to get it but thought it was really boring after a few years. There is SignBuilder Illustrated too but they never used to get the magasines here or missed out a month here and there, its free in the US but internationally you pay a subscription.
I would have thought there was a market in the UK for a more traditional publication, the UK is renowned for good signage, its ashame so much today is inspired by US books and magazines.

Yup Henry’s right its a real shame that there are no decent UK signmags as the ones at the moment are a complete waste of paper and should have been left as trees 😆 mind you we sit here slagging them off when we have loads of talented signmakers here I’m sure we could produce something better ourselves eh! folks (-) I digress 😆 http://www.signcraft.com/ its available from A.S. Handovers, they are in London village tel 020 7359 4696, subscriptions about £35 a year.
I had been signmaking for 3 or 4 years before I got hold of a copy, and it was like someone had switched a (-) on in me head (only a small 40W one though 😆 ) -
We subscribed to Signcraft a few months ago and find it to be a source of information and inspiration. Well worthwhile. If you go to their website they will send you a free issue.
Sign of the Times arrived today and I’ve just had a very quick look through it. I realise it is important that suppliers get details of their products to us but I feel that it is dominated by advertisers with not enought articles.
