Hi folks where would you recommend for purchasing a print and cut machine, which type, software and why? I know this is a very subjective question but I am looking at all my options and ther are so many that I would like a little help in narrowing down the options,, anyone 🙂

what type of thing will you mainly be looking to make, and also leave the door open for other possibilities?
this will help more with the replies you get..

e.g. you want to make small labels, but with the option to move onto digital printing.

    cheer mate 😉

Hi Robert, at the moment i’m interested in a 600 wide machine. I will be doing lots of labels to go on cut out shapes from the laser (I’m buying in at the moment) and probably will do signboards for some of my old customers but have no intention of doing vehicle graphics. I used to have a plotter only and did quite a bit of stuff with that but I don’t want to get into all the weeding out etc, that takes so much time. I had signlab but that went with the plotter when I sold it 4 years ago. I would probably get signlab again because it was such a good program, but I would like to be able to use it with the laser if possible. I know there is a laser version now available but I don’t know if I could print and cut to vinyl from the same package. I’m using corel 12 at the moment but am no where near as efficient with it as I was with signlab.
