Rich use avery 700(new) or mac 9800. Cast is fine but unless you are used to applying it, the two afformentioned will do the job and are much more forgiving

Never mind the quality for application, I think Mactac 9800 smells better than LG vinyl!!!

Go for the mactac 9800 – but avoid the decomissioning, it can leave a lot of adhesive after 12 or more months.

    Richard,

I’ve just been outside to have a look at a Connect and I don’t think you need a cast. I’d use Avery 700 but MacTac 9800, or any good quality material, will be fine.

One way I’ve been caught with this sort of thing before though, is a customer wanting something similar to what you are doing. A calendered vinyl is good enough so that is what we use. The next thing we know is that they buy another van, maybe a Sprinter, where a cast is essential, and we then have a problem matching a cast material to the colour of the calendered on the original van.

Of course, if your customer has only one vehicle, then there is no problem, but I always try to weigh up the possibility of the above happening and take it into consideration when choosing a material.
