    Hi All,
I’m looking for some advice on making a blackboard for a client of mine.

She wants some external 8 x 4 blackboards for the kids to write on.

First of all, what type of wood is best for this?
Should I undercoat and then two coat the blackboard paint?
She also wants an alphabet at the top and bottom of the boards, so should I mask these out and paint them or will vinyl happily sit on top of the blackboard paint? If so, what type of vinyl should I use?
Any help would be much appreciated. 😀

We make these all the time we just use two coats of blackboard paint on forex. Mask of the area paint it then put pinstripes around it to finish it off. Ordinary vinyl will stick to it no problem. but we just usually have the vinyl on the forex above the blackboard area with the company logo etc..

Will the vinyl stick to the blackboard paint though? 😮
