Dale, if you don’t mind me suggesting something;

A trap a lot of people fall into is that because you have heaps of window space, they feel the need to fill it.

One or 2 small lines on text on each pane of glass makes the thing look cluttered IMO.

You need to concentrate on your line spacing. The first windows has lines really close, but other windows don’t.

The 1st impression rule that we apply to individuals can also be applied to signage. People will draw a conclusion of what is inside, by what they see before they enter a store. If you are trying to get the impression across that you are a budget store, simple signage may be the answer, but if you are trying to promote products that are more upmarket or unique, then you want your signage to reflect a professional approach.

Not trying to be critical here Dale, but I’d be using window splashes if you want to grab attention, but use the top or bottom of the window frames for your ID signage. That leaves the main veiwing area to promote your stock.

Thanks Shane for your comments when i first did the window we were in the process of changing our business from a furniture shop to a personalised embroidery shop i suppose when we were closed for refurb i wanted to get as much in the window as possible so people would see what we did but now we are open i need to change it like you have said to something that looks more professional.All i do is build computer servers and storage systems all day and don’t really know anything about the sign business so all comments and ideas are very very welcome

Just as a matter of interest, I am not in the sign busines either, what made you go in it if, as your quote, you know nothing about it?

Why didn’t you stick to building computers? Not having a pop at all and good luck but why signs? Oh what cutter are you getting?

Hi David i still do computers i set up the embroidery/printing shop for my wife i used the cutter we had to do my own signs.i am looking at getting something that is bigger than the robo i have just so i can do some things for my self like the shop and the car and a few things for some friends
