To increase visibility this client is looking for a sign above his canopy as shown in fig 1 (now) and fig 2 (with new sign)

However the new sign needs to be 3m x 480mm and the area of flat fascias to fix to is only about 230mm (9 inches) high.

Hence I was thinking maybe a sign with two runs of channel behind and some sort of brackets but not really sure how many i need or how best to make them/have them made and from what metal so any thoughts welcome if you’ve done something similar.

Note the moulding and flat roof above protrude over the flat part of the fascia so any bracket would need to come out 6 to 8 inches.

    Thanks in advance – John

John you can buy aluminium extrusion very close to the dimensions george has drawn from lancaster metals, previously called baco.

    Hope this helps

I would just use a flat alli powdercoated plate, and 2 pieces of 6" alli chanel to offset from the facia. but check if the original fascia is sound enough to attach to, or even cheaper, a 6 x 4 timber stud’, treated first
