    Hi all

This is thread relates to my current post in the sign design section.

To supply and fit 1off 17.5 X 1.1 foot composite facia with applied vinyl.
To supply and fit 2 of 6 X 6 foot windows with temp lettering ( large & medium text only )

    £546.00 😕

Does this seem to high? I know its based on overheads and costs etc but working from home mine are quite low. Based mostly on materials prices doubled and a lump for making up and fitting. I could do it cheaper and still make on it but at the same time I don’t want to devalue what I am doing. Someday, I may have a big unit and 20 employees to support 😉

Never done anything like this before so do not know if I am even on the right page with regarding to going prices… Based in Essex if that makes any difference.

    Thanks

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian

I would be a bit more than that, maybe about £7-800 and that doesn’t include design/layout time etc, just manufacture and install and based on 1 colour window lettering.

I am in a slightly more expensive area though so you might not be too far off but that’s me.

    cheers

    Hi Adrian,
i work from home too, i just charged £550 for a similar job, main differences i only had to supply vinyl to go onto existing boards they had and the window graphics were not temporary.

Customer was very happy with that price.

So i would not worry about going slightly higher as Warren has said.

    Cheers

    Liam

    Thanks for the reply guys,

Only queried it because last time I quoted anything like this it came out at just under £400. Never got a sniff at that one as someone else came in £100 cheaper 😮

Adrian thats just the way the game is going im sad to say, i priced out a 40ft trailer the other week at £1300 because it was covered from head to toe in graphics, And even then the customer refrained from telling me that it was a curtain sider which is a longer job again… the other day it appeared at the bottom of my road with the worst signage job ive seen in a long while and when speaking to him he said he got it done for £400!!!!! id rather shut shop than go down that route.. the way i do it is just put a price in that i think is fair and not sticking the arm in and if i get it i get it, oh and dont haggle on the price as then he tells the next guy to haggle etc and you get caught up in all that rubbish
