    Hi All

I have always used Cad Cut Premium vinyl from Target but it is quiet expensive so was wondering what suggestions you have for a good quality vinyl for dark cotton shirts.

    cheers

Im not sure of Targets pricing but I think XPres is reasonable at £5 a meter and the quality is very good.

UKSG prices from grafityp cannot be beaten anywhere as far as I have found, ring then and see, target are by far the most expensive, over £2 a metre for premium more than Xpres
I pay £4.75 a metre from xpres, for any amount
I will leave you to call grafityp you get your pricing.
I use xpres and grafityp solely, Xpres only have a couple more colours than grafityp so between them they should do you.

Thanks Steve, I’ll give them a call in the morning.

Is there a 1 vinyl suits all (well most) or do you have to buy the right vinyl for the right fabric? The Cad Cut premium can be used on many different fabrics so that is why I started using it.

Do all the vinyls have a sticky backing or is it just this brand as I have heard that sometimes you need application tape?

sorry for all the noob Q’s

    cheers

    Hi mate
    ring grafityp and Xpres,
you wont be disappointed, Every time Vicky from target rings me she starts with "Hi Steve I know you dont buy from us but…." LOL
Anyway, not all have a sticky backing, From Grafityp they have a PS and PU range, which are the equivalent of Xpres’s Ultracut (sticky) and extra flex (not sticky)
I think they have a couple more now too which are more like superflex but rarely use anything but the PS which is the sticky one, its far easier to position and if you pull part of the graphic up while weeding it will stick back down, whereas the non sticky one wont, it is harder to weed due to the stickiness of it but far quicker in the end once you get used to it, if you are cutting large graphics and text then the PU or extra flex is just fine it weeds extremely easy and gives a more plastisiol screen printed feel to the shirt, but with that one you may need to use heat tape (not app tape) to hold the design in position as it is not sticky and also the edges can curl making it hard to line up.
Overall I like to have a few of each from both suppliers in, also you will use nylo flex, or equivalent, for sports jackets etc, and for football shirts that you cannot dye sub you can use either that or the pu/extra flex
you can always give me a ring if you need any info at any time just pm or email me.
But as far as one for all goes you cant go wrong with the PS/Ultracut, and for fleeces always use flock, or embroidery nothing else
    cheers
    Steve
