I have heat pressed some Polo-shirts without using a teflon sheet and I’ve now I’ve got a shine on the shirts – does this shine go away with washing…???

    Hi Moss

Nip down to your local supermarket and get some baking paper, you get about 50m for a pound or so.

I have taped some tight to the top platen so I don’t forget to place it on top each time.

If you have a Jarin Industries/Europa Leisure press a teflon sheet may not be required because the top platten in teflon coated anyway. I often double press and have never used a teflon sheet.

I think Lakeland Plastics sell Teflon sheet for use when baking and frying.

    Has anyone ever used these?

Also, does anyone have any clever devices they use for linning up t-shirts for printing or for making pads for raising areas of a garment for printing difficult areas around zips seams etc.

It would be interesting to see how other people print t-shirts etc

I use a triangle of folded towel on the corner of the heat press so I can raise the area where I press the size and logo onto my tshirts. Otherwise I cant get the pressure because of the stitching.
    If that makes any sense.
