to do with the cap sensor.
could be out of sequence so do a complete cold start up. but make sure that there is nothing fell off or obstructing the capping stations movementchris

normally capping station as been wound back up to tight after manual clean or dried ink on the wind up mechanism. Try winding up & down a few times manually then do a restartKev

Hi Kevin – got the opposite, capping station down at the bottom. Been told need a new pulley / belt but 10 day lead time !!!
Starting to panic about that kind of down time.

I can wind up the capping station up by hand to seal but told the supplier to go and try and find a pulley from somewhere else – surely it doesn’t 10 days even if it’s gota come from Japan.
Also been phoning around re a new printer – Soljet 111

what area are you in? Have you confirmed that the pulley belt is knackered could it be as simple as a grub screw etc come loose. If you can get it off try your local bearing & drive belt stockists you would be surprised what is kept on the shelf some times they just have to machine to match drive shaft etcKev
