You want to seriously debate whether you should go to bed or not? 😮 It all depends Peter, do you believe your bed to be a place of rest, or a place of thinking about what you last posted on the boards, thus making you restless and in need of a UKSB fix? 😕

Serious debate though, blue smarties, why?

Who are you going to vote for in the General Election?
Fox hunting, capital punishment, speeding fines, unemployed scroungers…… orange tic-tacs…..

I just burned my finger because I was on here and forgot my food was in the oven, I finally remembered, but by that time my cheese had melted to the aluminum foil so when I went to pull my food off the tray it got stuck then I pushed on the tray to pry off my food and burnt my left index finger. Debate? Who’s fault is it? UKSB or mine? I think I know the answer . 😳

I’ll be out there next year Robert. Although last time I was out there I didn’t sleep in any room that I paid for, I kept ending up in my friends rooms passed out on the floor..but that’s a story for another day…and probably another forum. 😳

Marek, Ultimately it is the fault of the person who invented the first computing device, thus leading on to other more complex microprocessors. Babbage, I think. The bast@rd.

We could always debate the pros and cons of selling signs on the cheap, parking our horses in the wrong coral and wearing Stetsons on a Sunday! 😀

Oh…. um…. sorry, thought I was somewhere else! 🙄 Did someone offer to brew up?

Um, Turing! 😮 He invented the first computer to act as a decoder during the 2nd world war, but it was subsequently destroyed once the war was over and Turing was widely discredited (with references to his homosexuality) to ensure his work wasn’t continued! 👿

Anyone have a place to buy the “Stand-up/Speak-up” black and white bracelets made by Nike? (Not really OT with this thread) 😀
They cost an arm and a leg over here. I’ll send something close in price and shipping over if anyone finds one. Thanks.

How about this…..Time is a consequence of movement due to the distortion of our universe being dragged helplessly through space by our galaxy.
    So is time travel possible?
Yes, light from distance stars long dead, have taken 100 billion light years to reach us, yet in real terms they are dead, but we can still see them glow in the night sky…. What do you guys think..

Oh yes, don’t forget that space if infinite and never ends and if it did whats on the other side??
The whole of our milky way could be in a large bowl being observed by others, as we do to fish in a fish tank..

Does water really swirl counter-clockwise when draining from a sink in Oz?
Why don’t male movie stars have to get BoTox?
Why does toast always land jam-side down on the kitchen floor?
Was Camilla’s wedding headgear really made from hay?
Why did they pick a new Pope with the word RAT in his surname?
If you were at a meeting with an associate (not a close friend) and they had bits of spinach in their teeth, would you tell them?

Jill having lived in both hemispheres at some point or another always wondered about the way the water goes down a drain. It does actually change direction. Saw a Michael Palin documentary where he travels from pole to pole. He stops at the equator and tests this out, and hey presto one goes one way and one the other depending on which side you are on. Can’t remember what happened when he tried it dead on the equator though 😳
