  • send a file from signlab to be printed

Hi, i’m looking at getting a sign fully printed and i am going to be designing it in signlab. Will the quality be good enough for the printers?
    Thanks

Everything I’ve had printed and have done ourselves since getting a printer are fine.
Mine have been designed in FlexiSign and exported as EPS or pdf files.

Do you just size it up to the size you require and then just send a .eps? does this include pictures to?
    Thanks

Yes, full size and import into your RIP.

Hopefully you’ll get other answers as there are many more experienced printers on here but that’s what I’ve done up to now and it’s been fine.

matthew the best way is to export as en eps. but some prinprinters can take cdl files.
if its a vector then full size is not a problem, but if you have pixels you may have to scale to keep sizes mangable.
in signlab you can do pictures full size on screen. and find out the image size, and adjust if needed. it depends on how big you are going as to what resolution the pictures should be.
signlab is very good at showing how an image will print if you zoom in you will see quality you can expect

Probably the most portable file types are PDF and JPG, most printing firms will be able to open these types of file. The JPG file is likely to be very large if the image is full size and high resolution.
