    hi peter

sorry,i did not explain that very well. I need to mount a 10mm sandblasted glass panel off a wall, my client has asked us if we can do any type of security sign support/stand off rather than the usual ones that just screw on by hand and nip up with an allun key. (like fairfield, Albion etc etc )

I have seen these on Buildings in London…

    Is this a bit better

Its easy to make the fixing secure, the hard bit is if they need to be removed for maintenance. Alan screws are reasonably secure anyway, as your average vandal doesnt carry a set in his pocket. Alan cap screws can be replaced with torx or similar fastenings to make the risk of unauthorised access a bit harder.

Am I on the right track here?

i’m with pete on this one, alan (actually ‘allen’ but humouring pete 😉 !) heads or torx prob best bet, if you need to get to anything then you have a chance, the anti vandal screws are almost imposs to undo once done up !

Thanks guys but i think your drifting away from what were looking for…… I have lots of security bolts and screws, its not these i need…… I need them in a sign support/sign stand off/sign locator……..Imagine your putting a sign on the wall using Fairfields or Albion’s SIGN SUPPORTS, now I need these to be vandal/security proof…I.E so no one can undo them with there hands and remove the glass panel…….. are we now on the right tracks????? I Use lock-tight on the thread when fitting this type of fixing. This bonds the thread in place. The fitting can be removed if nessessary with mole grips. Lock-tight can be purchased from most car accessory shops.

Do you mean the ‘pig-nose’ stand-off fixings supplied by FK Moore 01843 593440 ? Can’t find them on their website http://www.fkmoore.co.uk but I have bought them in the distant past.
