    Hi there

I recently took on a job making scaffold banners for one of my customers, i have been hemming the loops at the top and bottom of each one with SG80 Nova-bond tape, then applying heat and pressure rolling them from each side, finally i have been finishing each corner with eyelets to avoid peeling. i have recently been told not to use tape on this type of banner by the media supplier, but have been told by the supplier of the tape that this process should be more than enough to hold. Some of the banners have since come down and I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i could prevent this problem without costly welding and stitching. I am fairly new to the trade and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi

If I am doing cut vinyl scaffold banners then I buy them ready hemmed from Beta Banners, I am sure you can find them in the UKSB Toolbar.

If they are printed banners I use a local upholsterer to stitch them for me, I know it is not ideal but if you could find someone local them it would save you having to buy a machine to do it yourself, and is probably more cost effective.

    Cheers
