    Hi All,
Just wanted to let you see the 3M 85 Series in all it’s glory. Great product to work with and is surprisingly forgiving!
The colour is satin black. The vehicle – a Mazda RX7 owned by Max Power magazine – will be featured in Max Power magazine over several issues. They came and photographed the vehicle before the wrap, it being prepared, during the wrap and of course the finished car.
The car has just come back from Santa Pod and will be shown all over the UK at various petrol head events.
I hope to get some good free publicity out of this! Fingers crossed!!

The pictures submitted here are my own.

Nice job, I too found 85 series fairly easy to fit (would have been easier if not fitting my car on my own)
Car looks great I like those rx7’s and definately looks good in the matt black.

Just out of interest how long did it take you.

I’m sure you’ll get more work from it, more and more people are starting to have them done especially the matt black

that looks awesome mate, I’m heavily into the modified car scene myself so this is something that definitely takes my interest. I have no doubt that you will get a lot of work from this feature alone, Max Power is one of the biggest modified car magazines out there.

Thanks for the comments guys – much appreciated.

The whole job including prep took around 7 hours.

FYI – First issue is planned for Nov 09 (out at the start of Oct), then Dec 09 (out at the start of Nov), a teaser in Jan 10 (out at the start of Dec) and the final reveal in Feb 10 (out Jan). Plenty of mileage then!

Because of the potential high profile of this job, I must thank all involved at William Smith and 3M respectively for their continued support.

Do you think it will stay in the deeper sections ok? From the info on the spec sheet it seemed to imply it was not for recesses.

    Jon,
I agree with your comments on the 3M Spec Sheet but the entire vehicle is very smooth in contour and has no deep recesses. Every vehicle may have something to a greater or lesser degree and the only area I would call a recess on this was an air vent at the lower front. But it went in fine.

    Dan,
Unfortunately, my pics do not show that the rear spoiler was made from carbon fibre and did not get wrapped. The spoiler was removed as part of the prep. Only four bolts.
