  • Runtime Error fix please

    Hello,
I have just tried to fire up my PC600 and I get this error message…

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    ProgramC:\program files\RCC for ColorCAMM etc
    ‘Abnormal program termination’

Can anyone recommend a fix for this problem? I have tried registry fix software but it does not touch it.

Many thanks for looking – fingers crossed

    Jeremy

    I am running Windows XP

I get this all the time on my old cutting PC which used to run our old colorcamm. I no longer have one so it’s not a problem for me so I just ignore it – but it happens every time I boot the PC up. The only thing I can think of is it started happening since the PC had a broadband internet connection. Maybe just co-incidence, but it’s the only thing I can think of?

Thanks for the replies Karl & Phill,

Karl, I haven’t tried to reinstall it just yet because I have read a bit about this particular error and it is suggested to be a Microsoft Windows problem and not a program issue.

Phill, I take it that you couldn’t get rid of the message, so couldn’t open the program?

At the mo I’m left clicking and trying ‘Run as’ to open the program but with no joy, it seems to be hanging in limbo, just waiting to be turned off!

If anyone has a simple solution to this I would appreciate the assistance.

    many thanks chaps

    Jeremy

    Hello,
Just a note to say that this has now been sorted.

Karl, it did need to be reinstalled, just that I had read to much into the problems other people have had with this particular Error, ie, persistent Error pop ups and no definitive answers from Microsoft, fingers crossed and regular Registry Fixes from now on.

    Thanks both for your input.

    Cheers
    Jeremy
