• rollers jamming?

    Hi all.

im new here and in dyer need of some help.

im a graphic designer by trade working for a small company in birmingham 9-5. But in my spare time i try and do a little extra work.

which brings me here, to signmaking.

i bought a foison c24 machine around a year ago and can say hand on heart i havent had any problems with it.

however, just the other day i was having some software problems. im using signblazer elements trial version. this stopped working, but then i managed to reinstall it.

anyway. ive re-checked all the settings in SBE and on the c24 and all seem fine.
however the rollers jam up on my machine and im unsure why.
ive checked moving the rollers without directly setting to cut from SBE and they still jam.

basically, they will start rolling as normal, then jam up, then start, then jam etc.

has anyone experienced a problem like this before?

i really need to get it sorted asap but dont know where to start.

i look forward to your comments.

    regards

    john

    which rollers please
    the pinch rollers
or the steel bar under the vinyl that drives the feed direction.
which probably has a lose gear ?.
turn off the power and you should be able to turn the shaft.

hi chris. yes the rollers that feed the vinyl back and forth

i turned the power off and opened the side to reveal the belt that drives the shaft.

how can i go about fixing the problem then?

    cheers
