  • Roll-up banner stands, advice needed please?

    Happy Friday all. ❤

i need to buy some roll-up stand bases and I am wondering what is a reasonable price for a good base. i dont have a great deal of experience with these but those i have used often lean forward or back and look poor. these were not new ones, i was just replacing the prints. but i would like to find a supplier of a good base at a reasonable price.

last question. what sort of price should i put these out at?
i understand the design time must be taken into account. but when i google them, there are so many at crazy prices i honestly dont know if there is any point in making them and charge so little?

thank you for any help. 🙂

I used to be able to charge over £100 + VAT for these, but as you say you can now order completed ones on line for much less and for not much more than it costs to buy in a cartridge so hardly worth trying to compete anymore. My worry is that If I quote the type of price necessary the client thinks I’m robbing him so I just pass on these jobs now and offer to do the artwork for a fee and let them then order on-line

I totally agree with Phill with regards to pricing. for a general layout of a stand (not complete design), I want £120+vat we provide a good quality base that costs about £33 using an anti-scratch/glare robust material. when to take away our costs, there isn’t much money in it, never mind trying to drop your prices to compete with the desperados.

a good start is easy stands, as Gary suggests, I have used them for years on and off.

    Ditto with above,

I gave up making these a long time ago and just tell people to go online.

when they first hit the market you could comfortably get £200 plus…

I don’t even bother printing them myself.

We were paying £10 for a reasonable stand, but had to buy 6. Add to that the £90 for the grey back materia, I had £150 sat there. I’ve printed 2 this year.

I just Buy in the finished banner for ~ £25 and its someone else’s problem, I can pack up and go home, or do something more productive.

Thank you for the replies everyone. I managed to get some from easystands.
I charged £85 each for three of them. I already had all the customers info and design at hand because they were an existing client. I am aiming to get at least £100 each but this was part of a larger order so i could lose a bit to keep the customer happy and gain myself some experience making them from.
