Posted by leethesign99 on 24 January 2006 at 13:54Hello All,
I’m back it appears. Although I retired a whiles ago and moved to a different part of Spain, I now find I have been seriously ripped off and need to start work again. I’ll tell y’all about it later. However, I am looking to buy a SP300V print & cut machine. Has anyone any experience of these? I’d like a bit of feedback on them before I shell out lots of dosh. Any comments would be appreciated. Cheers m’dears

Hi again Nik,
Never did get to meet your folks…..have you any relatives in the Cadiz area? If so, I’ll try to meet them!

There are lots of threads on this one. Do a search of the site.
Excellent machine the only issue topic on this machine is whether you want Ecosol-max inks or full solvent.

Lee try searching foe “Versacam” & “Cadet” as well as SP300.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies and the welcome back remarks. I’m a bit stuck at the moment not having internet access at home or office – this is Spain and it’s only the 21st century remember!! I’m having to use internet caffs and friends’ access at the moment, but I have been promised a srvice v. soon. When I’m up & running I’ll tell you’se all a tale that will make you weep – well, it made me bloody weep! But if it helps anyone else making a similar mistake, it will be worth while.
Watch this space – or one like it!
Hasta luego amigos…..back to the gin and sunshine

Welcome back mate.
Yes I am running the 540 but converted to full solvent techink.
Never regretted the purchase for a minute although the 1st few lease payment was a bit of a worry in the early days .
The machine you are looking at is slower (and cheaper) but still does a good job.

Get yourself on the MAX inks. Sssssooooooo much better.
The SP300 is a great machine, no maintenance needed (unlike cadet!). Think about a laminator as well for vehicle graphics etc….
Good luck in Spain.

quote Andrew Bennett:What figures are we talking please shane?
you talking about the conversion Andrew, or the lease?
-
quote Andrew Bennett:cash purchase and lease I imagine mate
Cash Purchase here was about $60,000 with all the ink upgrades and a few extra’s. A monthly lease, depending on the finance and balloon, you’d probably pay about $1600 a month with a 30% Balloon after 5 years….

Hi all
As promised my tale of woe. I thought that I had sold my magazine, The Trading Post to a young chap in town. However, 2 of my employees (who incidentally I had not been able to pay for 8 months, so were working on a freebie!) set up Trading Post Spain, using my database. This obviously p****d me off. I now find that they were within their rights as they had collected the information themselves, and I am now left holding a huge legal bill. There are 2 magazines called The Trading Post and Trading Post Spain, so everyone is confused. And I thought retirement was going to be fun! What a bummer!
